The Pratt & Larson Intaglio Series consists of impressed surfaces inspired by the essence of textiles and natural textures.  It is an extremely flexible and versatile series with numerous designs available in various contemporary sizes.  With the Intaglio release we are happy to introduce two fabulous new rectangle sizes, the 3″ x 8″ and 4″ x 10″. Six different Intaglio textures are available as 1″ circles, blended with field they bring the very popular, playful circles to another level.  Intaglio pricing falls in between field tile and Bas Relief, making it a more affordable product to use for large areas of tactile sensation.  We hope that you enjoy this faulous new line brought to you exclusively from Pratt & Larson.

Inspired by the beauty of an intricate pattern in a hand-woven Moroccan rug, this contemporary design infuses artistry with engineering to create dramatic beveled edges. The hand-made ceramic tile is 6” x 9” x 7/8” and available in two colorways – White and Linen – with a glossy finish. To complete the architectural boundaries and details, the pattern is supported with matching moldings, liners, and field tiles that frame the dimensional tile on four sides. The moldings and liners are 4 ¾” x 6” and ¼” x 6” respectively, while the field tiles are available in 1” x 2” mosaic, 3” x 6”, and 12” x 24”, a large format size not commonly found in hand-made ceramic tiles. Each of these elements is offered in the two colorways, White and Linen, with two complementary finishes: glossy and glossy crackle.

In 1980 a ceramist and painter Michael Pratt and Reta Larson, a textile artist and incessant home remodeler, began Pratt & Larson Ceramics.  Pratt & Larson was among the first of a new wave of small companies producing original tile designs for national distribution.  In 30 years. the company has grown from two artists working in a home basement studio to over 130 people working together to produce the 1000+ items that make up the Pratt & Larson product line.  Style lines of Botanical, Sealife, Animal and Architectural Designs in addition to select Historical Designs from the 30′s. From the beginning as today, the emphasis has been on creativity, originality, and quality.
