Historians believe that the first mosaics were discovered in Chaldean architecture around 2,000 years B.C.   At Pratt & Larson we still think of our mosaics as a decorative art form and faithfully bring it to our clients in all it’s intricacy and beauty.

In 1980 a ceramist and painter Michael Pratt and Reta Larson, a textile artist and incessant home remodeler, began Pratt & Larson Ceramics.  Pratt & Larson was among the first of a new wave of small companies producing original tile designs for national distribution.  In 30 years. the company has grown from two artists working in a home basement studio to over 130 people working together to produce the 1000+ items that make up the Pratt & Larson product line.  Style lines of Botanical, Sealife, Animal and Architectural Designs in addition to select Historical Designs from the 30′s. From the beginning as today, the emphasis has been on creativity, originality, and quality.
